Scarlet teardrops and a deep wine-red oval give this Georgian pendant its wonderfully varied Garnet display. A round stone at the top suspends two slender rows of Pearls, with a larger teardrop hanging in the open space between them. Below, a horizontally set oval Garnet anchors three further drops, the longest at the centre. The flat-cut stones show broad reflections, contrasting with the softer lustre of the little Pearls.

Small Gold links connect the separate settings, allowing the pendant's different elements to hang independently. The Pearls sit within delicate scalloped rims, while the Garnets have narrow Gold borders that follow their individual outlines. On the reverse, rounded, closed Gold backs echo each stone's shape, completing the pendant's layered construction.

MEASUREMENTS: Pendant measures 52.5mm long including jump ring.
Pendant measures 17.5mm wide.
Round Garnet measures 7mm in diameter x 3mm deep.
Smaller teardrop Garnets measure 5mm long x 4mm wide x 3mm deep.
Larger teardrop Garnets measure 8mm long x 5mm wide x 3mm deep.
Pearls measure 2mm in diameter.
WEIGHT: 3.8g.

MATERIALS: Tests as 9ct Gold, Garnet, Pearl.

HALLMARKS: Since we have dated this piece as being made before 1950, a hallmark is not required in order for it to be sold in line with UK hallmarking legislation.

PACKAGING: Your order will be gift-wrapped free of charge in a Lillicoco cardboard box made from recycled materials, tied with a ribbon.

Condition

VERY GOOD: The Garnets have crisp facets with no chips or abrasions visible. The Pearls show surface wear and variation in lustre. The scalloped Pearl surrounds remain distinct, with darker patina around the settings and connecting links. Fine scratches are visible across the closed Gold backs.
