18ct Gold Black Enamel Pearl Diamond Mourning Ring

$9,838.00

A refined Victorian mourning ring in 18ct Gold, pairing glossy black Enamel with luminous Pearls and delicate Diamonds. The low, multi-panel head is composed of lozenge-shaped frames set over inky Enamel fields, each centred by domed Pearls and bordered by fine beaded edging and tiny pellet dividers. Vertical trios of petite rose-cut Diamonds accent the shoulders, lending a subtle glimmer to the striking black, white and Gold palette.

Beautifully crafted in the late Victorian era (circa 1879), the ring sits low on the finger for effortless wear, with crisp geometric detailing and classic Etruscan-revival nuances. The interior bears hand-engraved script including “J.J Jan 1879 Age 87" and “MAJ Feb 1874 Age 68", adding a moving personal history. Underneath, neat rectangular back-plates with breathers speak to the careful workmanship of the period.
